paper v plastic. neither?

Some estimates put disposable plastic bag use at 1 million bags a day. If its true that women make 75% of all consumer decisions then what would happen if we all stopped using plastic bags?

How about these cuties from The Container Store.

More reusable bag alternatives.

what a great site and good information, too! i'm looking for an alternative to plastic! sooooo much oil per year is used to produce those plastic bags - so having your own bags and re-using old ones is definitely the way to go!!

oh, just one more thing...

while wondering what to do with my clumping cat litter after switching to reusable bags (since once i scoop i put the litter in those plastic grocery bags and immediately take it down to the trash) i did some quick research and came across the LitterLocker Plus.

this way those of us with cats can waste less and only have to make one trip to the trash can whenever we're ready!
